Standard Ketogenic (Noakes/Banting) diet
Ketogenic (or keto) diets promote high-protein, low-carb eating. The idea is that depriving our body of carbs triggers a process called ketosis. In ketosis, our body burns fats for energy which should lead to weight loss.
There are many versions of keto diets. Famous ones include Atkins, South Beach, Paleo, Dukan, Noakes and Banting. They vary slightly from each other, but they all share a high-protein, low-carb approach.
