Religious and Cultural Diets
Around the world, food is a major way we define our cultures and observe our religions. For many, how we eat is part of our cultural or religious identity.
As with many diets, one size doesn’t fit all here. Specific practices can vary among groups and denominations – even within the same community or religion.
And cultural and religious diets aren’t only about restrictions, fasting and sacrifice. Many really know how to party and eat! If you get a chance, take part in a Jewish Passover seder, a Muslim Eid al-Adha feast, Diwali snacks enjoyed by Hindus, Jains and Sikhs, or a Christian Easter brunch. Praise be!
Whatever your faith, we’re here to make sure you’re never left out.
